PLTS Provides Ease for Sebira Island Residents

Residents in Sebira Island, Harapan Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district appreciated the operation of Solar Power Plant (PLTS) in the region.

PLTS supports PLTD power thus people can use electricity for 24 hours

PLTS which located in Sebira Island was constructed through collaboration between Jakarta Government and PLN.

Nurdin (55), fisherman who lives in Sebira Island said he was very happy with PLTS construction in the region. Thanks to PLTS, fishermen no longer need to buy ice cubes to store fish they catch.

"PLTS supports PLTD power thus people can use electricity for 24 hours. Besides, it is safer for us to use cooling machine to store fish," he conveyed, Thursday (11/26).

Meanwhile, Thousand Islands Regent, Junaedi expressed his gratitude to PLN for building PLTS in Sebira Island. Not only provides comfort and convenience for his residents, but its existence is expected to improve residents' economy.

"I hope in the future PLN can develop PLTS program in all residential islands  and resort islands," he stated.
